Anthony Martial is on the verge of joining Sevilla on a season-long loan from Manchester United. The time has come for Martial to go on to another team and try to earn more regular playing time.

His United career have stalled, but there have been some highlights, and here are five of his best moments in a red jersey...

Fantastic Debut Goal Against Liverpool

In September 2015, during the start of Louis van Gaal's second season as manager, Martial made his debut as a substitute against Liverpool. With a magnificent solo goal to win a 3-1 victory over United's bitterest rivals, the Frenchman made quick impact.

Martial was at his best, full of pace and directness and not afraid to take on anybody. It was a spectacular start to life in a red shirt.

Late winner in the FA Cup semi-final

At the end of that campaign, The Manchester based outfit won the English FA Cup, thanks largely to Martial's crucial late contribution in the semi-final. The match against Everton was deadlocked at 1-1, with David de Gea having previously saved Romelu Lukaku's penalty to keep United in the game as the 90 minutes ticked away.

Martial, on the other hand, scored a cool last-gasp goal to send United supporters wild at Wembley and seal a stunning victory. United won the legendary old trophy the following month, defeating Crystal Palace 2-1.

Masterclass on Derby Day

United's penultimate Premier League game before the first lockdown, a Manchester derby at Old Trafford, saw Martial lead the line.

He scored following a clever free-kick routine featuring Bruno Fernandes, putting United on the road to a 2-0 victory. In March 2021, United put up a similar all-around performance, winning by the same scoreline at the Etihad Stadium.

Martial didn't score that day, but he looked like a complete centre-forward as he blended hold-up play with sprinting in behind, reminding us of how excellent he can be when he's on form.

United's first hat-trick since Fergie's departure

Before the match against Sheffield United in June 2020, United had not scored a hat-trick since Robin van Persie's against Aston Villa in May 2013. In United's 3-0 win over Chris Wilder's team, Martial scored all three goals, displaying superb penalty box instincts and calmness.

Martial had his most productive season as a United player that season, scoring 23 goals and assisting on another 12 in all competitions. Regrettably, he was unable to build on that accomplishment.

Fantastic substitute appearance in historic victory

In United's record 9-0 victory over Southampton in February 2021, Martial was only introduced at halftime, but he still scored twice and added an assist. He showed a desire to get among the goals that night, and he was ruthless when the chances came his way against opponents who were already well beaten.

The margin of victory was the equal largest in Premier League history, and Martial's involvement ensured that he was a part of a memorable evening.
