Worst Players.

1. Thomas Partey.

Getting sent off in the quarterfinals of an important Cup game does more harm than good to your team and that's what this Partey red card did to Arsenal. The Gunners did put in an energetic performance against Liverpool despite being 2-0 down but the red card made the game worst for Mikel Arteta's men. Maybe Partey did not learn from Granit Xhaka's red card in the first leg of the cup tie.

2. Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Tomiyasu's performance today was one of the worst we've seen from him since he joined the Gunners. Liverpool's Diogo Jota easily skipped past him to score today and he also made a few defensive mistakes. His nerves were just all over the place and that did not help him.

3. Bukayo Saka.

Earlier on in the game, Saka looked like he could be the main attacking threat for Arsenal but after their first Liverpool goal, his performance for Arsenal took a nosedive. It was as if he was marked out of the game and couldn't help his team against J├╝rgen Klopp's men.

Best Players...

1. Diogo Jota.

Excellent, excellent performance from the Portuguese forward against Arsenal today at the Emirates stadium. In the absence of Salah and Mane, Jota stepped up to guide Liverpool past a hungry Arsenal side. His two goals were wonderfully taken as well.

2. Trent Alexander Arnold.

He struggled in the opening 15 minutes against Gabriel Martinelli but after that, he completely controlled that right flank. Was one of the focal points in Liverpool's attack and his crosses caused many problems for Arsenal.

3. Fabinho.

I have to congratulate the Brazilian on his extraordinary performance for Liverpool in midfield today. Just after Nora's goal, Fabinho made a last-ditch tackle on Martinelli to prevent the Arsenal man from scoring after he had skipped past Van Dijk. Wonderful from the ex-Real Madrid man.
