Following a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge against Liverpool, Chelsea will be hoping to get themselves back on track when they travel to the Etihad Stadium this Saturday to take on in form League leaders Manchester City. The match which is scheduled to kick-off by 13:30 West Africa Standard time will mark the 50th meeting between these two sides in the top flight since 1992.

The last time the Blues visited the Etihad Stadium, they stopped Manchester City from claiming the 2020/21 Premier League title after coming from behind to win 2-1.

Strikes from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez was the difference as City rallied from a goal down to claim a 2-1 victory.

3- Manchester City 6 vs 0 Chelsea (10 February 2019)

Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick as Manchester City emphatically defeated Chelsea 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium. 

4- Manchester City 1 vs 0 Chelsea (4 March 2018)

Bernardo Silva struck early in the second half to hand City a hard fought win against the Blues.

5- Manchester City 1 vs 3 Chelsea (3 December 2016)

In a game that the Citizens finished with nine-men, goals from Hazard, Costa and Willian proved crucial in a 3-1 win for the Blues.

As seen above, Chelsea have recorded two wins and three defeats in their last five Premier League trips to the Etihad Stadium. While the Blues will be looking to keep their title hopes alive, the Citizens on the other hand will be looking to end it.
